Stall converter option

Hey, new here. I have a 2016 ram 1500 5.7 8speed with 392 gears. It has a comp cam stage 2 hrt cam and now I’m looking for a stall converter. I’m having a hard time deciding what stall speed I should choose with the 8speed and 392 gears. Has anyone done this? Thanks

Get ahold of Matt Fikac at Moes,he has more experience with high stall convertors for the trucks 8 speed then most.
Throw a small shot of nitrous on it,and you don't need a convertor,lol.
If you were around Castrol/Rad Torque i ran the little red regular cab shortbox that ran low 12's.My wife ran the purple 1320 that ran low 11's

I’ll send Matt a message, only concern I have is how short 1st gear is with a stall and the gear set that the truck has. Seems like it already burns threw first super quick.

They'll make the 1/2 shift usually by the 60ft mark,lol.
I used to be at Castrol every Friday,but the last couple years i've backed it way down.I come out of Airdrie,and getting home after 2:00AM isn't as much fun as it used to be. It's a 155 miles / 250 kms from my driveway to the entrance gates,and the drive home afterwards is mighty long,only good thing is traffic's not near as bad as it is going up friday afternoon,lol
Which Trackhawk do you have? You're not the guy always running around looking for somebody to race it are you,lol

What colour is your Hawk,are you the one i raced with the purple Challenger a year or so back,you ran an 11.2 to the wifes 1320 which ran an 11.3.

Thanks, I’ll call when they are open. I’m not on face book so that’s why I was askin. the trackhawk is black has full bolt ons and tuned by CCMR in spruce. That would most likely be me, It runs a conistant 11.2 when it’s hot out and D/A is crap. I’ve done a few 10:94’s in it when it’s cool out and I can get it to hook.

That looks like the one i ran,lol. That thing works good ,i was a bit surprised when you put a length on the 1320,i hadn't really paid any attention to your hawk,till you lined me up in the pits,lol. I'm guessing you know Belah then,lol.
Are you going to be at Castrol next friday,i'm working on getting Rene to bring his Dusterhoff tweaked hawk up,and that'd be a race i'd like to see.

What 0 to 60 are you getting with stock converter?

Not a clue lol. I usually 4x4 launch in traffic or else it just spins. I just got long tubes installed last weekend with cutouts so I’ll be getting it re-tuned this weekend then I’ll try it out

Got same truck with Texas speed stage 2 cam. Been reading some people running high 4s with a new cam.
Trying to figure out if they bull****ting or something wrong with my truck/tune. Lol

As i suggested on your other post,0-60 times are very inaccurate,to many variables,get it to your local track,and see what it runs in the 1/4 or 1/8th.
I go to the same track as Ram028,only thing is,it's a 310 mile round trip for me,while it's probably a 20 mile round trip for Ram,lol
