Hello - I currently drive a 2016 Lonestar 3.6 2WD. I have loved this truck but am considering upgrading. I do not need a 4x4 so think I will stick with 2WD and am looking at the 3.6L V6 24V VVT. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with the ETorque engines? The idea of a hybrid scares me.

No experience with ETorque but, on paper, it seems to provide very limited benefit with added complexity and cost. If my understanding is correct, it adds some torque during the first one or two revolutions of the wheels.

I went with a Classic model so I was able to avoid it. This is the final year for the Classic models and then consumers won't have a choice. I'd seriously consider getting the Classic to steer clear of ETorque.
