There is ample bandwidth inside the frequency allotments. The problem is no guidance on specific frequency use. So they grab a frequency and use it without consideration of other possible frequency use.This comes from the FCC. Certain industries are allowed to use certain portions of the radio spectrum (because all wireless tech is basically a type of radio waves). Automotive has to 'stay in its lane' so to speak, so the frequencies are all bunched together.
