Hello everyone.
I wonder if anyone has had this issue.
USB and Aux icons disappeared from uconnect screen.
I have a 2014 RAM 1500 and I recently installed Uconnect RA4 8.4. Bought off eBay.
Install went fine. Everything worked. When I would select media I could choose Bluetooth, USB, Aux.
About a month went by and all good.
I then disconnected the battery for a couple hours, to work on another issue.
Now, Bluetooth still works fine but no sign of USB icon.
If I am using Bluetooth and then plug the usb cord in, to charge my iPhone, the Bluetooth stops and I get a message.
“Bluetooth connection not available while USB device is connected”.
So Uconnect recognizes that a device is plugged into USB, but at same time, it does not connect. There is no USB icon to choose from the media app.
Of course I can just charge the iPhone via the cigarette lighter port, but I’d prefer to get all working correctly.
Dealer suggested I check the fuse for USB. I did. It’s fine.
I could RESTORE SETTINGS, but I’ve read a few posts warning that I could lose Navigation or other apps features.
Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.
