Ok, I need to activate my newly installed ITBM - which hopefully is good since it was removed from a boneyard.

My options.
A. Let the dealer activate it
B. AlphOBD to activate it - which comes to my next problem

The laptop (PC) I was going to use doesn't have bluetooth, SO, is there another non- bluetooth recommended adapter besides the MX+ ? A USB OBD adapter instead of bluetooth?
OR, use a bluetooth usb dongle?

I don't really see me changing many other things, but the ability to use as a scan tool would be a plus.

I also have a 2012 mazda 3 and found a few ELM usb adapters for it, would an ELM OBD adapter work well with Alpha OBD?

I have Windows AlfaOBD, MX+, and I'm using a USB Bluetooth adaptor (mini or micro, that I also use for a bluetooth headset on video calls)...It works great...I think I got the adaptor from Amazon and was less than $10...
