    Official Redline SI-1 thread.

Thanks for doing this thread. I've been using SI-1 for two years...wrong! I've added to my hemi and my wife's mazda after each oil change. I will change my time of application going forward. Question: I plan on sending a sample of my oil to blackstone labs for the first time. Now is the...

    Lower ball joint

No, I just pressed them out with this... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00061SGJ0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 they gave little resistance after I figured out the correct press attachments to use.

    Lower ball joint

My OEM ball joint did not have a snap ring. The aftermarket version that I put on did have one. I'll bet that either they haven't been replaced before, or if they were, OEM ball joints were used. If you install ball joints that have grease fittings, make sure that you orient them so that the...

Sticky brakes when coming to a stop

sounds like the calipers need some love. I'll bet the slide pins are not permitting the caliper to retract after a stop. Many brake pad companies are including hardware in the box for this reason. I am going a step further by removing the pistons and replacing seals. I found one of the...

    How to: V6 Efan Conversion

I just wanted to revive this old page to add my experiences during the install. First, I've watched the boosted videos and studied the how to in this thread. My clutch fan was an absolute stuck on ***** to get off. My solution was to heat the fan nut with MAP gas, while I used a breaker bar...

    Ball Joints After 42K miles?

Moog sells a few levels of ball joints. The level that I purchased and installed after 65k miles had grease fittings. If you have serviceable ball joints and they aren't serviced, they actually are more prone for failure than service-free ball joints. Do your moog ball joints have grease...

replaced lower ball joints with moog question on greasing

I replaced my OEM front lower ball joints with moog problem solver joints part #K500286. They have grease fittings on the tops of the joint that I am not familiar with. They are not the zerk fittings that I've used before. You can see a photo of them here (it is the second photo)...

What kind of mileage are you getting with a Hemi and 3.92 gears?

I get about 17 mpg all highway according to the dash and about 11 or 12 mixed driving in my 16 Rebel. I've gotten as high as 11.5 mpg pulling my 7x12 enclosed trailer, all highway. My truck is tuned, so I use a minimum of 89 octane fuel. I use either ethanol-free 90 or 93 pump when I'm towing.

Why should I stay with RAM?

I was going to say the same. Get a big inverter generator. A dual fuel one would be even better. Then you can run a tank of propane. I wouldn't chose a truck because it can also be a generator. Facebook marketplace is loaded with generators all the time.

    Fluid Change after many miles?

make sure to level front to back and side to side. You will likely need some higher jack stands than the standard 3 ton stands that most home garages have in them. You will also need some method to pump fluid into the pan upon refill. I've used this before...

    Fluid Change after many miles?

This is exactly what I did and what I'd recommend for the OP to do.

    air suspension aftermarket replacement recommendation

This is my plan if/when my system fails. So far I've been able to keep the cold morning phenonmenon from happening with brake line antifreeze. I am hoping that the air system doesn't fail. Boy, is it convenient backing up to a trailer!
