Same here, zero response as to why mine isn’t covered when clearly it should have been
I have had the same issue with the crack on the RAM1500 2020. Mine is not covered. i find it unacceptable that a manufacturing defect is not covered.
i already spent on replacing a Radio Hub once last month.

I agree, you shouldn't have to pay for this yourself. But there's only so much you can get a dealership to do. You may want to try flowable silicone in the mean time to keep your truck dry. Mask off the areas on the outside of the window that you don't want to get silicone on and squirt away. I'd probably also tape the cracks on the inside of the cab so you don't get any runs. Lots of people have been successful doing that using this product:

I wish someone would make a video sealing the back window.

Well window glass company came today to my house and replaced my entire rear window with slider and all appropriate items. Man, he had to remove everything to include seats, even the rear wall carpet/insulation since the controls for the slider and the heated rear window glass stripe run thru a Relay mounted on the rear wall. But done and on RAM's dime.

INFO: Vehicle glass company, 3rd party, contracted by my RAM dealer to do all their glass work.

What the cracks in rear window slider backlit looks like: FTR seems most of the TSB refers to crack on one side mine was cracked on both sides upper interior slider frame.

I'd see if there is a way to better protect the RF hub from water while you have it torn apart. It's definitely vulnerable sitting where it is between the cab vents and below the slider. Even though they replaced your rear window it could eventually leak as well. Lots of people have had the rear window replaced multiple times. One guy in another forum is on his 5th rear window.

MY rear window was actually in there pretty darn good. My issue was the cracked frame in 2 places and possible CHMSL issue which was also replaced. Yeah, maybe should have did something, but of course all put back together. The window tech said they HAD to save the rear window they took out and return due to "warranty" work, LOL. I looked at the rear vents and they looked ok.

I am in the USA and I am going through the same thing. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 am having the same issue, I took my truck to the dealer and they confirmed that water is leaking through the back window. They said my vehicle is not covered because the build date of the vehicle was 2018!!?? I told him that on the TSB it says ANYTHING built on or before Sept 30, 2020 is covered. He referred it to the Service Manager and he denied the coverage!!?? I also have an extended warranty which I am still in. I opened a customer case with Ram Cares but not sure what will happen with that. How the hell can they get away with that crap??
I am dealing with the same exact issue, mine is a 2019 and built 11/18 and ram says that it is not covered even though its before the 9/30/20 date

Yup, and they won't tell why it's not included in the extended warranty either.

It’s nice to have the warranty but nicer still to have the required parts available in a timely fashion. My2020 has three (3) rear window frame cracks and is leaking. Headliner is stained. Dealer is working with me to replace the rear window and frame under the warranty, but parts are unavailable with no ETA. It’s been a month so far and still parts are on back order. And BTW, headliner damage/staining are not covered under the extended warranty.

Correct. Which is why a guy would want to stay on top of this. Sorry to hear about your wait on the rear window. For our 2020 the rear window came in about a week after it was ordered. Our issue was the wait on the RF hub that was killed off by the water the rear window cracks allowed to get inside the cab. Luckily our factory warranty had a couple months left when that happened so it was all covered.

Headliner stains can be removed using various methods. One of the most recommended is to use hydrogen peroxide. Slowly dab at the stains using a cloth soaked with hydrogen peroxide, re-wetting the cloth every so often, and eventually it should all come out. But don't scrub or you could damage the headliner.

Anyone have any luck getting their truck added to the XL1 warranty extension for the rear window? I have a 2019 1500 and Ram tells me my truck is not covered, even though I clearly fall within the guidelines off the warranty extension.

Nope, I'm on my 7th call to them. I keep asking why my truck isn't covered and they keep telling because your truck (2019/power sliding rear window) is not in the system. I keep telling them that is not answer why, when I meet all the requirements. I ask them to escalate it, they answer with an email saying that my VIN is not in the system and if my needed to be cover under the extended warranty it would be. So I opened another case (because they keep closing them) and I used their own wording, if it needed to be covered under the extended warranty it would, so using their own wording I said, this the 3rd rear window that needs to be replaced in 5 years, I need the extended warranty. I really think they covered the bare minimum in VINs to say they extended the warranty. It seems like very few trucks were covered and the ones that need the warranty are not covered.

Thanks for the reply, at least I'm not alone in this. Hopefully, Ram will do the right thing. Otherwise I can smell a class action lawsuit coming.

There was already a class action and the judge dismissed it. I don't think Ram is going to do anything more than what they have done.

Took my 2021 in this week because the rear passenger floorboard gets soaked every time we get a heavy rain. Dealer diagnosed a rear window frame crack as the issue. Truck has only 25,728 miles on it but was bought in February of 21 so the factory warranty ran out just a month or so ago. Zero coverage from max extended warranty and they said my Vin qualifies for the 3rd brake light extension but not the rear glass extension. I was told to call fca.

I called and FCA said the window frame leak isn't covered. When I explained it was illogical to exclude the trucks in the same make/model/year/trim with the exact issue as others that are covered, the rep just stopped talking for several minutes like I was on hold. Then she sent me directly to the automated customer service survey (hard dissatisfied ratings in all categories, of course). This is terrible customer service. Guess I may be selling the Ram and my wife's jeep and trading up for Toyotas or Fords.

Sent Ram Cares a message last night so I'm still waiting on a response there too.

Yes, it falls on deaf ears and they can't tell you why some are covered and your is not! Doesn't make sense, but I still think they covered the bare minimum with the Extended Warranty just to show they did something when in reality most trucks weren't covered. I started looking at the Silverado with the 6.2 V8 this week.
