Been fighting a demon on my 06 Cummins. Last fall had lights come on and off figured it was WSS. Had code checked for left front WSS circuit. Replaced with new sensor, after that light continuously was on. Had someone ohm out sensor everything checks out. Turns out to be a bad ground wire to sensor. .42v at the plug as well as at the abs module. Attempted to run a jumper from neg battery to ground on sensor wire to get proper voltage and lights still don’t go out. Curious if anyone has any insight. Understand I’ll likely be chasing the ground wire through the harness to find a broken wire but why wouldn’t the lights go out with the jumper?

Probably because the ground runs back through the Anti-lock brake system module. Note: I don't know if this applies 100% to your Year/Model, but the diagram may help... note that it's not a true ground - it's a Wheel Speed Sensor (-) wire... This means that the ABS Module probably monitors it as well as the WSS (+). The grounds come out of the ABS Module to Ground Point 101. Run your test ground wire from the ABS module pins to the chassis. If that doesn't fix the issue, run a wire from pin 2 of the associated WSS(-) back to the correct ABS Module Pin. That will help you determine where the fault is.

My abs light stays on all the time on a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 4 ×4 5.2 motor what causes the abs light to stay on?
