Yes, that is what it appears to be. I will see how it goes on my next 3 hour drive. I suspect even with highway driving it will fluctuate if the battery is no longer being fed continuously.

Is the battery charge display on the dash for the 12v battery, or does it include both 48v and 12v?

Charge on dash only shows 12v charging. I heard there is a way to check battery health of 48v batt but haven’t figured it out yet.

In auto start/stop the 48v system is charged and ready to start the engine back up, at that time I don’t believe it charges the 12v batt. When stopped at a light your systems all run off the 12v batt and the only thing running the 48v is the generator/motor and pack. There is a limit to the start stop time as it probably monitors the 12v batt during longer periods of engine off and will restart to be begin charging. I have had it off for a few min without it restarting which is great if your stopped and waiting to pick someone up. Since the engine isn’t operating you aren’t creating heat so cooling fan is not really needed. I know it won’t auto start/stop with heat on sometimes (getting up to commanded interior temp) but it def doesn’t shut down when the AC is on since the fan needs to be on. That would kill the batt quick.

Yes it will shut down with the A/C on. The fan continues to blow while it’s down too. It’s dependent on the interior temp setting regardless if you’re calling for heat or A/C.

Same situation with 2024 5.7 e-torque hemi. So while it seems normal/common when starting the engine or for short runs to see the system charging at 13.9 and dropping on longer drives (as I assume it feels the battery is fully charged), my QUESTION is, what’s the range for the battery just sitting (when the truck is off)?
Mine is currently 12.8 which “I feel” is most likely normal, but how low can it go sitting without issues? IE 12.4-12.8?
I ask because I have a 3 1/2 week trip coming up and while I do have a 5amp tender I’d rather not leave it on in 90-100 degree heat. I was thinking of having a friend check it after 1-2 weeks and if it gets below ____ (?) go ahead and set up the charger to run for a day.
I have the Ram app (which shows location etc info on the truck) as well as what’s called the DRONE app (providing similar but more info and control) that I’m sure will draw the battery down somewhat, so thought it would be good to have it checked while gone.

We've let our 2020 Limited sit for five weeks while on vacation a couple different times. When we get home the truck starts right up as if we had driven it the day before. I honestly thought I'd have problems the first time we did that, but I don't even give it a second thought anymore. I will use a battery tender if we ever plan to be away for longer than that, which is a real possibility with retirement coming up. But I wouldn't think 3 1/2 weeks will kill your battery unless you have some kind of aftermarket device/s that are always under power.

Yes, I have what’s called The Drone app/monitor and remote communicator/starter as well as the Ram app. And my concern is the e-torque and how that will or won’t affect my battery system.
