My 2016 has about 91K miles. If the Mopar pump is only good for 91K, is it worth the extra money? O'Rielly aftermarket has a lifetime warranty.

Signed, curious.

Everyone here knows how much hate I have for OEM but unfortunately the only good WP is the Mopar one.
When I bought my Jeep Wrangler used, it had a bright and shiny relatively "new" waterpump. Must have been a local box chain store water punp, no markings at all. It wasn't long before it started to leak. Still shiny with no oxidation of the aluminum. Got a Mopar water pump and never looked back. At least a decade and 50K miles and still going strong. It has, however, oxidized and lost its shiny surface but I can still see the Mopar marks.

Are Gates water pumps still any good? I've used a few of them over the years and never had any issues with them. Last one I put on is what's in my truck right now, which was installed several years ago. Seems fine so far.

I put a water pump, from O'Reilly's in my truck last year, It was a brand new, not re-manufactured, and have had no problems with it. Got about 14,000 miles on it now.

Some people who bought aftermarket made in 2020 or before are probly still having good luck with theirs. 2020 everything went to trash. After my OEM went out around 160K, I went through 3 aftermarkets in 3 years. Finally put a mopar on and 20K miles so far so good. I wouldn't even remotely consider aftermarket with the current production quality.

We’re on our 3rd water pump in my wife’s 2014 Durango. The OEM pump didn’t even last 50k miles. When that failed I couldn’t find an OEM pump anywhere. I picked up one of the only aftermarket pumps I could find and it only lasted maybe 40k miles. The 3rd pump I bought from RockAuto. So far so good but it only has 20k on it.

Mechanic used a Murray pump (Made In Mexico) from O'Reilly, has a 1 year labor included warranty, and lifetime warranty on the pump. He uses them all the time with good luck.

I felt like the oem should have lasted longer since I've had multiple vehicles go double that.

And so it goes.
