Bass-like humming coming from speakers when reaching higher RPMs

I never heard a Bass hum, what is their favourite tune? Glad you got it figured out. I will keep this in mind when looking at upgrading the sound system.

Not a typical tire question. Load rating/side wall ply questions towing

Seems like the typical tire question to me. That said, on your 1500 the Es hurt nothing, help when towing and can be aired down when running empty. Tires aren't going to change the ride on a 1500 much, especially with the right pressure for empty vs towing, but they will sure make it tow...

New convert to Ram with a stupid question

Here we just put the in paper rolls, that the Bank supplies for free, and the bank gives use full value for them. Would be surprised if your banks don't do the same as they need a supply for customers and shipping coin by truck is REALLY expensive. Way cheaper to get it from clients and charge...

    Over heating

Read the 8000 other overheating threads. Take the thermostat back out and test it to see if it actually opens where it is supposed to. Non-OEM are about 50% bad, even the OEM have a fairly high failure rate even new. Next suspect would be the water pump, reman and non-OEM of those, often are...

    Ride quality

Go buy a low mile Tundra that still had the V8, avoids all those things. If Toyota made a 2500 crew cab long box, that is exactly what I would be driving. That or a real low mileage Ram 1500. I have the 2500 and don't mind the ride at all, particularly compared to my 1996 Ram 2500, but even the...

New convert to Ram with a stupid question

Sounds like the 1500s and 2500s are different. Kind of surprises me but not really.

Lowering rear and getting a better ride.

Spot on. If air bags couldn't carry weight most semi-trucks would be out of luck as that is 100% of their suspension and gvw, as would a great many luxury cars who's only suspension is air struts.

It does it all by itself!

The RAM and Jeep FOB is a poor design. The convex face makes it way too easy to pocket dial a button. I have a FOB for my car that has a just slightly concave face, it never seems to have the pocket issue. Both of these styles help with the pocket button pushes.

    Rear Differential

You need to locate the source of the "Slop". I would start with the U Joints, and check them for play. Then the intermediate/center support, bushing/bearing if you have one of those. Hopefully it is one of those two because after that it gets expensive. If the slop is in the actual differential...

Lowering rear and getting a better ride.

Just so you know I was the Sheep Dog in school, just like I am now. If you don't understand the reference, look it up. Also, saying no disrespect does not mean none was displayed. Finally if you don't understand that air down refers to the tires, and is extensively referred to as such in...

    2013 after market bumper issues

I would leave the hitch as is and work on getting the bumper to fit properly. Bullet Proof in Red Deer makes lots of choices and they will ensure it fits, if you can send the Rough Country back. If you can't send the Rough Country back you may want to modify it so it fits correctly. Rough...

Was it a Mopar water pump? Have you tested the flow rate?

So, if there are no leaks, rad cap is good, has new fluid, thermostat checks out and fan is working right, pretty much leaves the water pump or a plugged rad as the last suspects.

In addition to the solid advice above, check your rad cap, it may not be holding the 14 psi it needs to. That will cause all kinds of issues and is often overlooked. I buy Mopar coolant and nothing but. Too many issues with the aftermarket equivalent stuff and you don't save much compared to...

Lowering rear and getting a better ride.

I disagree. I have run my 2500 at 8200 pounds and 9500 pounds and the gas mileage is virtually the same. If I increase wind drag, or push into a head wwind, gas mileage goes down and the more resistance the more it drops. However, weight in the box or in the cab seems to have very little effect...

Lowering rear and getting a better ride.

Best recommendation is adding easily removed weight, sand bags, tied down water tank etc and air down the tires to 45 front 40 rear. That way it is easy to go back to max tow capacity in a couple of minutes. Anything else you try will mess with your tow capacity, so would make sense to go to a...

Agreed. So many keyboard warriors that never get out of their basements. I think they really believe they can get away with saying WHATEVER they want to. OBDLink MX+ and ALFA OBD

Yes you need a security bypass cable. The one from Kaodtech works well and installs fairly easily. The MX+ will let you read a whole lot of stuff but if you want to change anything you need the security bypass cable. https://www.kaodtech.com/product-page/security-module-bypass
