Opinions wanted, use Gumout or not to use Gumout?

If you can't find Redline locally, may want to find some along your route and make a quick stop to pick it up. Like Burla said, long trips with hot motors clean the best.

Opinions wanted, use Gumout or not to use Gumout?

If you are talking Gumout fuel system cleaner, I would put it in and run it for the trip. Highway speeds and heat, help clean. Mix on the heavy side for better cleaning. Those cleaners do not typically put all that much stuff into the oil, but you are going to change it anyhow, so if you are...

    Rim/wheel size change.

Your 1500 certainly has a more car like ride, regardless of the tire. However, all the rest of the commets apply with repsect to function and cost to replace tires. If you really want to save money, find a set of 20 inch takeoffs in your tire size. You should be able to get 4 brand new takeoffs...

    Oil change help!!

You are in Arkansas, it doesn't get real cold there so the 15w40 will have been fine even on start up. You likely have not done any permanneent damage. Just switch to a good, high detergent diesel oil like Esso Delvac or Rottella of the proper viscosity and I bet everything will be fine.

    Recommendations for a brush bar

There are lots of Brush Guards that have sensor relocation built right into them. Avoid Rough Country anything, but that still leaves a ton of options. If you search brush buard on here, there is a ton of info. https://www.ramforum.com/search/2625897/?q=Brush+Guard&o=relevance

    Rim/wheel size change.

Unless you are buying the 22s for appearance purposes I would strongly suggest getting new 20" rubber, or 20" tires used off the market places. Personally, I tried 20s and went back to 18" tires for the taller sidewalls for better ride, better rim protection, resistance to potholes and 18"...

    Door hinge bearing

Glad it got fixed. Ask him what they did. Could help a lot of folks from the posts on here.

Need a wrench for the wife

If her back is really that bad, get her an AAA membership and let them change the tires. A set of curb feelers might not hurt too.:D

    Sad Sign Of The Times

I saw the phase out coming so I have bought 3 V8 powered vehicles in the last 3 years, 2 brand new, and one with real low miles. They should last us till we can no longer drive.

    Fuse blowing

Without basic diagnostic work on your side it is really hard for anyone to help. The blown fuse should have nothing to do with whether the engine cranks or not. Check out and test the crank circuitry, as in is there actually power at the starter and can you jump the ssoleniod to get the starter...

    Security gateway bypass

You need the correct switch, the wiring from the power mirror, switch on the drivers door and motorized mirrors. Just turning on the function doesn't work.

    6.4 oil pressure light

So you are saying mechanical test reads 30+ while dash says 10? Is this EVIC electronic readout or does yours still have an Oil Pressure Gauge? If it is EVIC, like on my 2021, it may be wiring, if yours still has the gauge, those were known to got out too.

    Voltage drop

Take it to a specialist Auto Electric Shop. They will track it down for you. My bet is that one or more of the many added on features is causing the issue.

    Security gateway bypass

Thanks, sort of what I figured. Hooking to the Bus Blocks was a bit of a contortionist act but at least I didn't need to take anything apart. Glad I went with the Kaodtech style bypass.

    Door hinge bearing

I just checked all 4 doors on my 2500. They all look just like the photo Daw14 posted, except no rust as they have been kept well lubed. The little roller is right near the top of the shaft it rotates on, on all doors.

You could at least open the link he provided. Here is a screenshot.

    Security gateway bypass

Exactly where does that plug in on your 2500? Does not look like it would hook up to you Bus blocks. Is the connection location easier to get at than the Bus Blocks toe Kaodtech hooks up to?

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

Since Burla says 30916 is the same stuff, I will take his word over pretty much anybody else, but thanks Sling. Since this one ships to Canada, even with exchange and shipping it is a bit cheaper than buying it here. The 12 pack on Ebay, that Burla posted, is cheaper yet, by a lot, even with...

Did Lubegard Biotech kill your hemi tick??

Amazing how much the amazon.ca price went up. I bought 4 of the large bottles for 52 bucks each about 5 months ago. Now they are 90 bucks, damn near double. The Edm outlet is definitely cheaper now. Luckily I have enough for quite a while.
