is changing oil in manual transmission a bad thing?
998.5 with 5.9L 24V 5sd manual transmission. Got 150K miles on the truck, all OEM. Thought it might be a good idea to change the tranny gear oil and the differential oil. The shop I took it to said not to do it. That changing the transmission oil can lead to failure. Talked with a buddy of mine...- haze10

Do enhancement chips really work
Got the 98.5 5.9L, 24V in a 3500, 5 spd. Would like a little more power for towing. Saw a youtube on the Quadzilla tuner. Do they really work.? Not looking for drag racing, just maybe a 20% gain in HP and Torque. If they do work, which is the best for a totally stock truck, easy to install...- haze10

Injectors that increase HP???
Sorry, I was posting for friend and not able to see the engine, so I do read that they all were turbocharger equipped. Can you recommend an easy and safe way to tweek a little more power, what chip would he use, can he boost turbo pressure a little, is there a waste gate spring he can change?- haze10

98 5.4L 24V long crank before starting
Lift pump was a direct replacement of original (I was told Carter). I wouldn't think flow rate would be an issue for starting or idle, only heavy loading.- haze10

The truck is a 1998, 5.4L 24V Cummins, Ram 3500. A couple of months ago I lost the lift pump, which also took out the fuel injection pump. Truck has 125K miles on it. With both replaced, the truck ran good for about two months. Now, when the truck sits for a few hours, the engine cranks...- haze10
