So can anyone help? I got a 2011 2500, my old truck had lamps that were a blueish tint 9005 I think, I want to swap headlamps in new one, manual says H13, I have found a strait base or 90 degree, base, boot, whatever you wanna call it, the part under the glass where plugs into connector. Says these are Xenon is that same as H.I.D? Anyone running the blue xenon? Before and after pics? Oh yeah they are daul lamp, one lamp per side, not 2.

Those bulbs aren't worth ...... squat. They'll give you less light output than stock. Most of the fleabay type sellers will call it "Xenon", but its not an HID kit unless you have ballasts and a relay harness designed to work with your truck. I guarantee you they don't have that!

Please stay away from blue. Please. :D

If you are interested in a REAL hid kit for your truck - let me know.

JJ can hook you up with lights that will really light up the road. Stock heads are definitely lacking

Blue does a few things...........

1 - draws attention from cops
2 - other drivers eye's seem to go to the different color - distraction
3 - less light output. How many spotlights, flood lights etc do you see in blue? :D
4 - Yeah, personal preference. 5K kicks butt. ;)

4300 - slight yellow
5k - white
6k - "cool" white, hint of blue
8k - blue
anything above 8 is useless........in terms of light output.

grabbed this off the internet. if it's accurate, i think 5000K looks ideal. of course you don't know how accurate the camera taking the picture is, etc.

Hey 0212353

I was considering a headlamp mod but I'm not sure what route to go. Projectors or HID??? Both seem complicated and expensive. In the long run which is the better route?

Projectors with HIDs is best.
