somebody can tell me why the truck randomly when put in drive will go straight to 4th. Jump out and disconnect batt for a min and reconnect . Back to normal.

2010 Ram SLT 5.7 545RLE 180,000 miles

Things I have done to try and correct this.

1. 6/23 Replaced solenoid module (Mopar brand)/trans filters/10 quarts of ATF4 seemed to help but

2 . Sent ECM off and had it cleared due to a software issue and reloaded factory SW. No change

3. Replaced TIPM with a Mopar Reman unit. If anything it got somewhat worse.

4. Battery and connectors replaced. No change.

To re-iterate this only happens after a start. Warm or cold. The occurance is random. Batt disconnect for a min then reconnect clears the issue. Code that pops up is P0883$07E8 TCM power input signal high.

Can you get up to speed or are you limited to 5(?) mph. If limited then you are in limp mode.

Stop throwing parts at it and find someone who can do real diag on it. They're going to need factory diagrams and be good at reading and understanding them.

It's an electrical gremlin of sorts, could be wiring, corrosion, connections etc etc. It's not a fluid level issue.

Well, gee how to say this. Im EE and have access to the 2009 file that has the wiring diagrams and drawings.
I've been unable to trace the issue because I cant get the location of the TCM to be able to back trace this voltage signal.
Any help there would be appreciated.
