So, using this 'site https://fcagroup.my.site.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing I was able to determine that my truck is indeed an R/T, and was built with 4:10 gears and anti-spin differential. Whether it still has that diff is anybody's guess, until I pull the cover. I did not see anything about a higher stall converter.

The earlier 5 speed R/T's came through with a convertor that would roughly stall at 2600 rpm,in comparision to the standard 1850 rpm stall the normal trucks employed. After they went to the 8 speed in the 14 R/T's it used the same driveline as you could get in any other 8 speed truck, except the standard gears in the R/T's were 3.92's while they were usually an optional gear in any other truck

Typical crowns around here are 2%, I've just never heard anyone say a vehicle leans on purpose to make up for a crowned road. If that's a real thing, I'll happily eat crow lol

A Ram engineer talked about it several years ago over on another site. If you think about it,the engine and transmission offset to the passenger side, offsets the weight of the fuel tank.Plus the fact the trucks height differances don't really change between a full tank of fuel and an empty tank of fuel,as the tank is still inside the frame rails,if it was out board of the frame rails it might have more of a factor, but not so much in board of them.

Got a chance to run the local 1/8th mile.
Best speed 74.15mph.
Best time 9.37.
Speed gained 2-3mph from last fall, with just headers/exhaust, times didn't really gain anything.
First couple runs just spun and had to back off to hook up. Everybody was having traction issues, it got better later.
Terrible RT's, trying to push pedal a little slower to avoid spinning.
I don't want to abuse this truck too much so I think I might build a dedicated drag car.

If you're on street tires and spinning hard on the launch,it sometimes helps to leave the traction control engaged.

Street tires at 28psi. Traction control off, tow mode on.
I really need to work on the launch, but I'm too concerned about toasting that trans.
That's why I'm considering building a dedicated drag car.

From a dig the RFE isn't to bad,it's roll racing and high speed runs in overdrive that'll kill it in a hurry. Tow/Haul mode is good, but if you're on street tires and spinning, leave the traction control on,especially with the 4.10's and higher stall convertor you'll have in your early R/T
A 9.37 should put you about 14.6 in the 1/4

Doesn't look like a lot of us here! I finally got there (7/27/24) Just want to see what it would do compared to our 02 Dakota, 4.7,5spd. manual,3.55's, TRUE Trac added, that it replaced! which went 15.4) so wondering if a Ram was quicker or slower, more HP of course but also 1100 lbs. heavier. Our new to us - just shy of two years ago- 2016 Ram Tradesman, reg.cab-8ft. box,5.7, 6 spd. auto 65RFE, 3.55's one leg ONLY, 26570R17 plain street tires, only modification to assembly line truck We added: K7N filter kit 63-1561 and MBRP single tail pipe cat. back S5142409. Tonneau cover All passes, just 2 shown, 3rd was another 16.05. Got pretty good traction (a bit of spin) on first pass. They used a Pro Tree on first pass, so I sat there after first yellow light wanting for the second which never came!!! Hense the .770 RT 2ND pass was a "normal" .5 sec full tree. But the ONE tire went up in smoke no sure grip from factory and I'm not adding a TRU TRAC as it will never see winter driving. Have rust bucket Buick for that! But even with that cut a .300 Thought the 14.963 was pretty good for a 5,000 plus lb. one legged truck on basic street tires.

For a stock long box truck with a pegleg diff, the 14.9 is pretty damn good 66. The Sportsman tree is 0.4 between yellows, the Pro tree is 0.5 from first yellow to green, you almost have to guess to cut a 0.0 style light on a Pro tree

Ya, I thought so also, these things all weigh over 5,000 lbs. I had just a 1/4 tank of fuel (32 gal. tank) so as it sat probably 5200. They are pretty spunky! Just turned traction control off and wacked it. The 16 second time is do to over powering the one tire. Spun coming out of the box for at least 3 truck lengths. But drag racing is not it's purpose from factory nor will it be for me. Just needed a new Mule. My 22 year old Dakota had so much rust the fenders flapped. This one will never see snow, and try to even keep out of rain ( that really doesn't cause rust issues - just hate cleaning it!)
