Fellas,

I’m still waiting on more front end parts. Getting sick of these Mopar online distributors.

About a year ago, I bought the complete Power Stop rotor, pads, calipers front and rear. I don’t think they have 10,000 miles on them. Mostly highway. Some of that up going up north and back to Florida.

In order to stay busy, I cleaned up the rotors with a cordless drill and a few different wire wheels. And brake cleaner.

If I’m not mistaken, I think these were coated when new. A lot of the slots needed cleaning.

I was surprised how much rust was actually on some of the other rotor surfaces. I have brand new wheels and tires coming from Custom Offsets.

Is there any way to treat or coat these inner surfaces of the rotors? I also cleaned up the dust shields. They look almost new again.

Thanks for any helpful advise.

Whenever I get done working with something I just hit it with some black spray paint. Thanks too the DOT having a one snowflake to one grain of salt ratio during the winter, everything here rusts regardless so no point putting too much effort into it.

Also, you must have way too much time on your hands if you're cleaning your brake rotors for fun.

Trust me I don’t consider this fun. 160,00 miles. I removed the entire front end suspension.

I cleaned up/removed all the rust around the front end. Primed & painted black.

Waiting on new lower spring seats for the Eibach struts from a Mopar supplier online.

The truck spent @ 9 years up north. Now in Florida. Not expecting too much further rust down here.

Since everything will be new I wanted the rotors to be clean. Especially when new wheels & tires will be over those rotors.
