I have an older gas can without the new spout, but I'm having a problem using it with my 2019 Ram 1500. I insert the hose fairly deep but the gas just bubbles out the side of the truck and won't go into the tank. I'm assuming my wife is correct and I'm an idiot, but perhaps there is some anti-theft device on the tank on the 2019s?

If you look under the passengers seat where the jack is there should be a funnel attached the the jack handle cover to use for that purpose. Mine has one.

I put fuel in mine an I have the VP racing cans with the big plastic hose an it worked fine on mine. Hose was in just enough to put the fuel in. Maybe it's a pressure thing unless u ran out of fuel?

It has to get far enough into the filler neck to clear both check flaps. I suspect that's why they give you the funnel.

The hose got in just enough to surpass the first flap.

I finally found that mysterious funnel that is under the seat, been talked about in other posts, now the real question, after using said funnel, what do you do with it? Will smell like fuel and there is no way that I am putting it back under there with the smell. Would a heavy duty resealable bag work such as a ziplock freezer bag? How long will the bag last?

I guess you didn’t read your owners manual.

You don't have too if you get on the forum and ask.. Someone will answer your question lol843afe91e27232a9ab9930ef57206391.jpg
