Hey y'all,
I'm looking for the best place to wire my running board lights for the courtesy feature. Currently, they're tapped into the dome light power wire behind the trim by the passenger side front door. However, they're staying on from the moment I unlock the truck until I turn it off and lock it again.
I realize now that I need to wire them on the other side of the dome light switch since it's constantly powered to allow the dome light to be turned on when needed. Ideally, I'd like the lights to turn on only when a door is opened and turn off when it's closed, but I'm not sure how to achieve this. Any advice would be appreciated!
