So I’m sure LTHeaders would require a tune to shut off O2 sensors ?
Where as shorties would not correct?
Thanks in advance.
I know what I went thru with LTHeaders and after market exhaust on my vette.
Ended up with cam, headers, CAI and all the goodies in the top end and a tune.
Not sure I want to go with that for my Ram .

I had long tube headers installed a few weeks ago and since I've had these codes

Would a tune be able to get rid of these codes?
@AMP4X4 is this something you can fix for me?

From my experience with my other car (corvette 2009). I had to have a tune to “shut my O2 sensors off” so I could pass emissions and not trip any engine codes.
I’m assuming the same would be true with long tube headers on my 2019 ram.

I ran a set of these on both my catless untuned 300,and on the wifes 6.4 Challenger with long tubes / no cats and untuned. The Challenger even had a 50 shot of nitrous on it for a year, before i got around to tuning it.

i know you mentioned those before, but im still not convinced my O2 sensors are working as they should after the header install, so i dont think those things would do me much good

Yea i can't really say if they'd be the cure all.
If you guys could get these south of the border, for 20 bucks they'd be worth trying.

Because one of my codes is the upstream sensor, i cant see those helping

I wish one of the tuners would pipe in and tell me they could fix the light for me

Have you smoke tested the exhaust from the collectors to the heads,as usually it's a leak ahead of the collectors that trips the front 02's

Yes a custom tune will get rid of your codes. Not sure who to use anymore its been 10 years since I had long tube headers. I have used hemi fever and jay greene in the past. The only thing with lt is that they wont pass emission testing. Hopefully your lucky enough not to have to worry about that

Basically yup.Are you using OEM 02's,or after market replacements.Alot of guys don't realize the 02's should be replaced as part of a good maintence schedule,as they do degrade over time

I had a shop put the headers on, and i had them use remflex gaskets, so there shouldn't be any issues there

(Wont hurt to double check though)

The O2 sensors are the stockers, so they have just over 100K on them

Because of that P0133, im thinking of swapping the two front sensors

That should tell me if its in the exhaust or the sensors

Ive just not been able to get the passenger side popped loose

Spray them down when they're hot with a good penetrating oil for a couple days prior to throwing a sensor socket on them, sometimes that'll help, but if the threads are a bit shakey, they can put up a good fight.

You got that right,i hate where they put the 02's electrical connector,as once there's a few miles on the trucks, they get stubborn as hell, good news is,be glad you aren't working on a car, they're even worse, lol

I seem to remember having to replace one or two in my wife's previous charger, but I don't recall it being too bad
