Hello I'm new here. 72 years old. Looking at purchasing a 2017 Ram 3500 laramie longhorn limited dually. It has 135,217 miles on it. It appears in really good shape. Are there any particular items I should look for before I buy it? Going to test drive it later on today. Looking to pull my 2014 Landmark 5th wheel. I weighs roughly 16500lbs.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone could give.

Assuming it's a Cummins, go into the dash display and bring up the total hrs on the engine, and hrs at idle. Mileage is a good indicator of gas engine life, but ttl hrs tells the real tale. Also, take it to a parking lot and slam the brakes as hard as you can, to try and activate the ABS system. If you get an error light, run away from that. Test the exhaust brake,,,,See if it throws a code light. Make sure th recalls have been completed...tailgate and water pump.
