Is there a way to upgrade the OEM power inverter to beef up the 150 w max on the outlet vs installing an aftermarket item

You would need to completely rewire as stock wiring isn't heavy enough to carry more amps. A whole lot easier to keep the oem and install an bigger after market.

^^^ DITTO ^^^. If the higher wattage was just need on 1 off things at locations, U could get a full sine inverter and just put alligator clips and run off of Battery. Or, U could wire into battery also with proper gauge wire etc.,. Dean2 could tell U the wire gauge depending upon how much power U R trying to pull. DO not try to run off of the skinny low voltage wiring in these trucks, U may not be happy.
