I have a 1997 Ram 1500 with paint code PRF. probably the most common color scheme you see on these gen IIs, a maroon up top with a silver highlight below. but the tag doesn't list the silver code. Does anyone know what that is ? My paint guy says he could match it on a color chart but I would rather have the actual code.

Then it wasn't two tone from the factory. My 1996 Ram is red and black, both paint codes are on the door sticker. Same was true on my 1994, Emerald Green and Sandlewood V10 Dodge. Interestingly, the paint code for the red is exactly the same as the red on my 2021 2500.

Paint match is likely the closest you will get to matching the silver colour.

Pretty sure it's factory. It is super-clean, never been redone. looked at the metal tag on the pass. side floor, it has PRF - radiant fire mettalic. QFA? might be driftwood satin? not really silver more of a grey.

QFA is the driftwood paint code from that era. Had it on my 94 v10. Is that code on your door sticker? The color is a grey witha hint of brown in the right light, with metallic fleck.

Mine looked like this one but an slt so more chrome. Definitely the mpst elegant pickup I ever owned and a lot of that was due to the paint scheme. The metallic emarld green just shone in any light. With chrome mirrors, door handles and the fancier wheels on the SLT it was a vey classy ride. Too bad that paint scheme wasn't available in Canada when I ordered my 1996 V10 supercab. The black and red Combo is very brash compared to the 94.
