I never did weigh a 15 X 10 Cragar with an old 295/50 T/A radial on it,but they were heavy as hell to put on a vehicle,that i do remember :Big Laugh: But damn they looked good,especially if the brake drum behind it was detailed nicely
Oh yea, you always had to paint the drum! LOL

Or you could Chrome them,and pretty well everything else you could unbolt underneath,lol

1969 Dodge Charger Daytona
Here are some facts about the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona:
Limited production
Only 503 of these cars were made in 1969.
Race-winning design
The Daytona was designed to win NASCAR races and was the first NASCAR car to reach 200 mph on the track.
Features
The Daytona had a 23-inch rear-deck wing, a sheetmetal nose cone, a 375-horse 440 Magnum engine, and a four-speed manual transmission.
Top speed
The Daytona was tested at over 200 mph in Michigan before its competition debut in Alabama. Buddy Baker reached speeds of 235 mph at the Chrysler Chelsea Proving Grounds, and Charlie Glotzbach reached 243 mph at the same facility.
Inaugural Talladega 500
The Daytona won its first race at the inaugural Talladega 500 in the fall of 1969.
Value
A pristine all-original 1969 Charger Daytona sold at a Mecum Auction for a record-breaking $1.43 million.

Those speeds is the only thing of those facts I never knew. That's still fast for today's cars!

My uncle was in the navy in 1970 stationed out at Pearl. One of his civilian cop buddies had one of these with a 440. At the time they allowed cops to use their personal cars so long as they were willing to mount a bubble gum machine on top. Together they went out on H-1 late one night and proceeded to exceed 150 mph lol...

Which Stellantis ripped off and over charged as a last call hellcat,when they tried to piggyback off it's rep. :rolleyes: :Big Laugh:
