Back when our local guys were running the 5.0's,i was buddies with the local staff sargent, and we were standing around visiting in their parking lot,and i made the comment to him, about it was easy to tell which ones the young guys were driving. When he asked me how i knew,i pointed out the back tires, the ones the young guys were driving had nothing left of the back tires, while the one he was driving still had good rubber under it.There was some mumbling about him having a chat with his younger members, lol
If you liked to do burn outs that was a fun car to do them in. The LS1 cars were the last ones to really be able to handle that over and over.Back when our local guys were running the 5.0's,i was buddies with the local staff sargent, and we were standing around visiting in their parking lot,and i made the comment to him, about it was easy to tell which ones the young guys were driving. So that top car my grandparents when I was 5 rented one it was a convertible with the mother in law seat or rumble seat which ever you refer to it as. I rode in the back and we rode around the Ozark mountains. It was a really fun experience. I was 5 and that's all I remember. I am sure it was a chevy or Buick as he was a GM guy.View attachment 545923View attachment 545924View attachment 545927View attachment 545926View attachment 545925View attachment 545928View attachment 545929View attachment 545930View attachment 545931View attachment 545932View attachment 545934View attachment 545935View attachment 545936View attachment 545937View attachment 545933View attachment 545938View attachment 545940View attachment 545941View attachment 545939View attachment 545942View attachment 545943View attachment 545944View attachment 545945View attachment 545948

Did you see the one where the guy stood there like he was pumping the electricity.....?
You haven't met my wife, she does burn-outs in her 1320 Challenger constantly, lol. She goes through a set of rear tires every summer,to the point i quit putting good tires on the back, now i just buy the cheapest 305/20 tire i can get my hands on,lol. The LS1 cars were the last ones to really be able to handle that over and over.
Looks like 305 or 315 DR's.Check out the rear tires on the back of my buddies 1,000 hp Red Eye.The green Challenger has 295's under it,in comparision
Little bit more then that, lol. He's running a 15 X12" rear wheel, and about a 14" wide rear tire. The car has a mini tub job and a 15" brake conversion. The car has no issues boiling the tires at a 100mphLooks like 305 or 315 DR's.
