Well, this is mine. Bought new in 2012. All original and I have only 23,000 miles still has original tires. Had to do a complete brake job due to so few miles.
Wow, 23,000 miles! Mine has 153,000 miles, runs, rides and drives like new. I wish I had that few of miles again. beautiful truck by the way, I may be a little bias tho! LOL

First of all , beautiful truck. The color fits it well. I hope that when you get everything done to it that you have planned that you can at least get the chance to run it some where in the 1/4 mile and see how it does. I would love to be able to do all that to mine some day and would like to see the difference it makes.
Thank you! The problem with these trucks seems to be traction once you start to increase the power. Without a lot of suspension work, track tires and wheels, and maybe even the 15" rear wheel conversion, getting any meaningful traction will be tough. Weight reduction would also be a problem cause I hate salads---LOL

Yep, hard to hook. Maybe a set of slicks would help. I don't want to buy a set for the truck since I'm working on a LS powered '84 IROC Camaro and it will definitely need a pair.

After the new tq converter, it just sits and smokes them. I can only imagine what it will be like after the cam and the 6.4 manifold. I've even got a large toolbox in the bed and it still doesn't reduce the spinning. Matt said that traction was going to be a problem and that's why I didn't have him build it with racing in mind. It's just going to be a fun street truck that hopefully will be kinda quick.

I actually planned to build mine for a weekend warrior, until I saw the costs of building a modern transmission for that.:eek::eek::eek:
So instead of building an automatic I planned for a manual trans, way less money and lots more fun to drive.

So instead of building an automatic I planned for a manual trans, way less money and lots more fun to drive.
If it wasn't so much trouble I'd change mine to a manual in a minute, just not worth the cost, labor or having to adjust this and that and whatever else is needed on some type of computer equipment. Use to be finding the 3rd pedal setup was the hard part. The "only" thing I don't like about my truck is being an automatic! Takes a lot of fun out of driving.

I understand. Back in April I went to a track, I had just put 4 brand new tires on and was interested how they would stick. My truck isn't horrible on traction to start with. I got to the tree without heating them up on the first run and when I hit the throttle the rear went up in smoke. Embarrassed after running a horrible time I came back around and this time I heated them up and thought it would do better, got to the tree and hit the throttle and up in smoke again! Ran a horrible time again I went and parked frustrated and trying to figure out what was wrong I realized I hadn't checked my tire pressure from being in a hurry. When they put my tires on they filled them to the max pressure of 44 PSI. I dropped them down to 25 PSI and of course problem was solved. Very little traction loss and I was happy the rest of the day!

I read your thread and I look forward to seeing it when you finish. I don't think I'll be doing it (as much as I'd love to) because of cost and time. I'll be retiring in a little over 2 years and have a lot of camping traveling planned also. I'm a little different on the shifter though, I'd have to have a pistol grip, I've had many of them. I agree 100% that T handles and balls are easier to speed shift (I had a '68 Road Runner with the straight line shifter with T handle and shifting that was no doubt easier) but I made it many years with the pistol grip and speed shifted 1000's of times. I'm one that likes to be different plus everybody had T handles or balls! The looks of the Pistol Grip couldn't be beat and it was a natural fit for my hand. Any way I look forward to yours being finished and who knows, you may change my mind. I very much hope it turns out well for you! Good luck, I'll be watching.

I have been looking at some of the Ram and Ram R/T sites on Facebook recently. With the prices of new Rams going through the roof, there seems to be a lot more interest in repairing vehicles. The number of used trucks for sale seems to be increasing also. This includes the R/Ts which seem to be becoming more popular and the prices seem to be increasing a little with their renewed popularity. Have y'all had any recent increased interest in your trucks? It seems I have been receiving more compliments about my truck along with off hand remarks asking if I'd be interested in selling the truck. Wouldn't it be great if our R/Ts started to increase in value?????

Coming from another source @PLMCRZY the production numbers are.... 2009) 151, 2010) 461, 2011) 943, 2012) 2236, 2013)1737, 2014)2253, 2015) 1315, 2015) 1737, 10833 total. So with those numbers they are somewhat rare. There were 1920 '70 Plymouth Super Birds produced, not that I'm even trying to compare them to each other. Mine gets used, 153,000ish miles to date so I don't expect mine will be very valuable when I'm finished with it. As far as getting many comments on mine..... I feel like most nearly break their neck looking away. Not many people like chrome and white letter tires anymore! LOL

Hello All, just joined the forum. My truck is a 2014 Express 2wd RCSB acquired in June of ‘23. It had 50,200 miles at that time and now only still 54,500.
What you see in the photos is how I bought it. I added the toolbox and window visors on exterior. Inside, the seat covers, floor mats a dash mat and of course a CB radio.
Only “mod” so far is a K&N filter in the stock box.

I’ve just purchased a DiabloSPORT Predator 2 and a 2” leveling kit for the front.
I’ve decided to go up rather than down given I have these off road style tires.

Turns out suspension components are much less expensive than tires.

Here’s some photos. I’m looking forward to seeing more small trucks with big motors :).
