just completed my third tick repair on as many trucks. This last one was my 2017 with 120k mileage. This time though I installed the new Meller high capacity pump. Only time will tell if its a solve for the tick. All codes cleared, check engine gone and no indications of a problem. Even better gas mileage. So why does my truck sounds like a diesel at idle.

Sounds like a diesel.....care to elaborate? Post to youtube and give us the link would be the best.

You actually have a lifter tick (not just the manifolds) and all you did was changed the oil pump? There are some additives you can use to help your situation in conjunction with the oil pump, but the pump alone won't save you. Search "biotech" in the bar above.

No, I did the cam replacement and whole top end. Then miller is suppose to fix the tick problem.
