Good evening,

I just picked up a 2017 SLT with the 5.7L Hemi with approx. 156,000 Kms on it.

I've done some research and decided on Pennzoil Ultra Platinum but not sure on the filter.
I'm wondering how the Purolator Boss stacks up against the Wix...
Any suggestions or recommendations are welcomed.

Your in Canada? See if any of the Canadian Tire stores around you have any Fram Ultra Synthetic filters. They are gone now (Fram) but you can still find some on shelves here and there. I called around and Purolator doesn't have alot of Boss filters up here.
Fram Ultra XG2.

Thank you.
I was checking them out as well.
Can't remember if it was advance or AutoZone that has them... Lots of choices in filters but from what I understand, the spun glass fibers one are the best for synthetic oil

I have been running the Fram XG2's in my truck for years. My truck seems to like them and have 4 sitting on the shelf.

I think after my stock runs dry it will be the Purolator Boss for a 2012 Hemi as that is the larger filter.

I saw them on Amazon for the Hemi and I bought a boss filter for one of our Pentastars to check it out. They look like a quality filter with white media which should mean they are synthetic.

This is a direct cut and paste from my last Blackstone Oil Analysis report. I was using the standard Mopar filter and PUP oil. The stock filter seems to work well.

We're not sure what oil filter you used over this interval, but whatever it was, it worked well to limit insolubles to
only 0.2% of the sample volume.
