2017 Laramie replacement headlight issues

2017, 1500 Laramie with projector headlights. Had to replace both headlight housings with OEM but now there is something internally that seems to be blocking the beams. Has anyone else had to deal with this and how did you fix it?

Did you install new bulbs? They may not be seated properly.

I did not but you can see some sort of contraption inside the housing. Both headlight housings were replaced due to minor accident and they both have is.

They may not be "clocked" correctly. Some LEDs can go in at different positions. Not sure on the projectors.

I bought my replacement 2016 projectors with lamps on amazon for $120 each. I hear oem is 6x the price. They worked the first time.
