Hello, 2018 2500 6.4L 4x4 Laramie

Rear track bar bushings are going bad. Having a hard time finding the bushings. Stock track bar. Yes, I know I can get a new track bar. Sorry, I’m cheap. Any help with a part number or link would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

They don't sell replacement bushings for the stock track bar, only the whole bar.

Rock Auto shows 2 rear track bars bushings. Don't know if these are what you're looking for.

If you can find them, be prepared for sticker shock and possibly just buying the new track bar assembly.

OEM and aftermarket are trying to get away from selling individual parts, they want to sell you a complete assembly. I don't know that it's actually any better for the consumer.

For instance, every vehicle I've done brakes on in the last 15 or so years, if I needed a new caliper mounting bracket, it's been more cost effective to just buy the caliper assembly that comes with said bracket. The most recent, my '17 'Wagon, the bracket by itself was approximately $20 cheaper than buying a whole assembly, and the assembly was in stock while I'd have had to wait on the bracket. There's no way the machining-intensive, larger amount of material caliper was only $20. If anything the bracket was probably $20 but to avoid selling it separate they're charging a LOT more for it.

I would put money on the bushings themselves being way more expensive than they should be.

Thank you, 2003F359.

I noticed this last year while looking for a caliber piston boot for a 2017 Jeeo Renegade. I will likely just purchase a new track bar. I would have had it done by now.

I'm not sure I've even seen rebuild kits for disc brakes in years. They used to be common but not so much anymore. But honestly, a lot of people don't have the tools to properly rebuild a brake caliper, and it's a labor-intensive proposal when you've got a lot more going on and need the vehicle back.

Track bars aren't as complex, but sometimes those bushings can be a pain to remove/reinstall, and done incorrectly can damage them. It's cheap insurance for parts suppliers to just supply it fully assembled.
