I’m looking to beef up my Ram Laramie… so first I want to give it a lil more rumble to the engine, but don’t want it to resonate too much in the cab… just wanted to know what anyone else has done..just for the record.. I know nothing about working on trucks ‍♀️

Same knowledge level as you San98. However gleaming info from all the guru's on this forum I did the following. I exchanged the OEM muffler for a Flowmaster, changed the Y pipe to an aftermarket non restrictive unit, and cut out the cats and had straight pipes in place. My wife loves the sound..no resonating and a nice Hemi tough sound without being offensive.

Easy peasy, buy the kit online or go to a reputable muffler shop. Remove factory mufflers, keep factory resonators.

I have the FlowFX direct replacement. Super easy to have a shop swap for you. It is not overly load (my wife didn't even notice for a year) but you definitely know there is a hemi under the hood when you put your foot on it. It does have a pretty good grumble on cold start too but mellows out to a nice low barely audible rumble when it idles down. Very very little resonance when cylcinders cut out but I always turn that off anyway.

And yes, I'm fully aware it does nothing for performance and it was just down to satisfy my need for noise and to have my V8 sound like a V8.

I went with flowmaster outlaw direct replacement muffler sounds great had it on 3 years now since new. Eventually will do shorty headers so ai wont have to worry about the manifold bolts.

Really depends on what you want volume wise, what tone you like, and budget. We have full catback options, muffler kit options, and header options. If you just want some sound a catback or muffler kit is the best bet. Message me and we can discuss some options that will fit your wants and wallet.

I have the Gibson Super Truck system and headers in 304 stainless.
Like said, do the extra work and only go long tube headers, wished I'd had.

Changing out your mufflers is the easiest way to make it louder.
I put a Flowmaster system on my ol Ford 7.3 diesel. It went from 3 inch to 4 inch and straightened out the restrictions in the head pipe. But it was loud. I do not realize how loud until I bought a new Ram in 2022. I am in love with how quiet the Ram diesel is.

I put a flowmaster muffler in mine 2020 Ram 1500. Improved it somewhat, So I sprung for a set of Carven Exhaust tips, 5 inch. I think they cost $250, the flowmaster muffler about 75 bucks. About a year later I installed a Cold Air intake from K & N. Sounds great when I accelerate, without the drone.

If you go to youtube, there are several videos of Ram exhaust comparisons with sound.
