Uconnect icon and ads. Is this new?

A week or so ago I noticed a new icon at the top of my screen. Is this new?

I tapped it and it took me to an ad trying to sell me SiriusXM.

Ridiculous.

At the same time, I don't remember the games option there either. Something for the kiddo to do if bored and waiting in the pickup someday.

I appreciate the free access to maps, GM used to charge for that. But I already have Sirius so the add isn't appreciated.

I have a tradesman and I wish I had a bit more connectivity with apps/options for the 12" screen. Feels really limited because they wanted me to pay for the higher trim. At the cost of the vehicles, a little more freebies with software which they're already making would go a long ways for customer satisfaction, IMO.

I came here to inquire about this as well. Anyone know how to get rid of that icon? Mainly just my OCD kicking in but I'd like to get rid of the icon since its also in the app settings as well.
