With a 2019 Ram Classic Crew 4x4 SLTI just bought a 2023 Classic Hemi with 3.92 gears.
No. Studies have shown covering the bed does not aid in aerodynamics unfortunately. You have the right-lead foot disease.I must be doing something wrong, I bought my 2019 1500 Classic in August. And I've never gotten close to 15 mpg. It's the 5.7 hemi, crew cab and the 3.21. I drive mostly city and I don't think I'm that aggressive of a driver. I've been looking at some sort of bed cover, will that get me up to three mpgs everyone seems to be getting?
18 City how lol2019 Classic 5.7 w/3.92s
Running 89 octane, I get 22 Highway/18 City. I rarely go over 65MPH
Not the hemis fault. My 98 GMC with 5.7 Vortec gets about the same with 140 less horsepower. Modern trucks are heavy. My 17 2500 with 6.4 gets 9 to 11mpg mixed towing. The 1500 feels like a prius compared.
Of course you got good mileage, just look at a map, the drive from Long Island to OC Md is all downhill driving. With a 2019 Ram Classic Crew 4x4 SLT
, Factory 17" wheels and a bed cover the computer gave me 26.7 MPH going from Long Island with no traffic to Ocean City MD Going 60-65mph
Not sure if I believe it.
I'm looking for a bed cover myself.I must be doing something wrong, I bought my 2019 1500 Classic in August. And I've never gotten close to 15 mpg. It's the 5.7 hemi, crew cab and the 3.21. I have kept accurate records of every gallon of gas my RAM 1500 5.7 with 3:92 gears has had put in from when I bought it new. It now has 149,600 mikes. Best has been 20 mpg worst has been 14 mpg. Average is 17.5. 20% of my hours are idle hours. This is 100% accurate.I just bought a 2023 Classic Hemi with 3.92 gears.
Ummm where'd your engine cover go?Here you go, picked up my new 2024 warlock from Mark Dodge and drove it to Nashville.
Had 27 miles on delivery. 5.7, 8 speed 3.92 4x4 crew with 5.7 bed
Here's fuel economy mileage on a new hemi with no etorque
I should add that the 2014 had 20 inch wheels, the 2019 has 18 inch.My 2014 Big Horn, Quad Cab, 2wd and 3.92 gears gave me a lifetime average of 18.64 MPG (99113 miles).
My current 2019 Laramie Quad Cab, 2wd with 3.21 gears has given me a to-date average of 19.85 MPG (108088 miles).
Driving style, terrain, driving routine, and towing incidence are approximately the same.
As you get older your foot will get lighter...usually.

Unfortunately classics are coming without the cover. I might be the only classic owner upset about this.Ummm where'd your engine cover go?
