Like all companies it comes down to its employees and how they operate. My guess is that your great experience has less to do with the actual company and more to do with specific employees and how they run that specific "branch".

That's a true statement in my experience! The original agent when I signed up with the company I've been with for a long time was great. Attentive, knowledgeable, gave you a straight answer, pleasant to deal with. Same with the State Farm guy ...we use a couple different ins companies. At some point the good guy from Company A moved on and the younger Agent who replaced him, is a moron IMO. He's given me incorrect information a couple times, which I knew with a high degree of certainty weren't true, I've dealt with buildings/vehicles, etc for a long time.

And when I pointed out I thought he was incorrect (and why), he stuck to his guns and dug in. Again...like a moron. I could even tell in his voice he wasn't sure. He should have said, "Hey, you know what, Let me research it and call you back" but he made it seem like I was the person in the wrong. Anyway, I turned around and called the corporate staff which I usually talk to anyway ...and they agree'd, his answers were completely false and they took care of me on the phone in a couple minutes. And it happened again.

I have had good overall service with the company, I just call into the 800 number and talk to the people on the phone and have for the last 10 yrs. One of the gals gave me the direct number so I don't get caught up in phone menu jail. The national people seem to know their stuff.

But yeah, good people make the difference. And like someone said, best to not deal with the local agent unless you need to. But if they're good people maybe there are times they can 'pull' for you..

Hey it's all good! To be fair, my insurance has always been great to me but I have never been on the receiving end of them either. Or however you would word that, you know what I mean I am sure.

And that was no lie when I said 4 shops turned me away when I mentioned Allstate. It got to a point where my first question when they picked up the phone when calling around for quotes was do you take Allstate? For the record I had Allstate for years when I had motorcycles. Never had any complaints then. So I owe @truck2014 an apology for saying F Allstate. I was just a bit pissed at how they are treating me so far.

Truck is at the shop now, waiting for them to tear into it and provide insurance a more accurate quote so we can get the ball rolling on what to do next.

Did get some Xrays earlier this week, MRI soon too. Shoulder and lower back are hurting pretty bad but I'll live!

Hope you all had a great 4th of July!

Little update...

June 28th was when I got T-boned. They did declare my truck a total loss but it took them weeks to do it. I only heard about it a few days ago.

I finally got my first offer for my truck the 24th of July and it was crazy low. Gone back and forth a bit. And they offered a bit more, still not happy with the amount.

Still fighting that out but I only have until Wednesday for my rental car. So if we don't reach an agreement before then I will be out of pocket for that.

I have my eyes on a new truck though. If it fits in the garage I'll own it in the next couple days. Salesman is either coming to my house or I'll be driving it home to see if it fits tomorrow.

I'll post pics when I get the new truck. But its a 2022 crew cab, delmonico red, 4x4, 5.7 hemi, 3.92 gears, anti-spin diff, no etorque, 8.4 radio, backup cam and all the 8.4 goodies like parking sensors... Pretty truck overall. And 11k miles. So I'll owe a bit but, I think it will work out.

This whole process has absolutely sucked. I am just tired of driving a Nissan Altima and want a truck again! Crossing my fingers it will be next week when everything is done.

It sucks having to wait so long, but hopefully it all ends up well in the end. The truck you are looking at getting sounds like a good one...the delmonico red is a beautiful color. That is the color of my wife's truck. Mine is the granite Chrystal metallic. Hope it fits in the garage and you get it, and insurance treats you right and can eventually put it all behind you!!!

Thanks for the good wishes, will know soon if we can make it work. Delmonico was the color I wanted originally before I bought my black truck. I love that color! Granite crystal metallic is another one I like, but color isn't a deciding factor here. Exactly how I ended up with a black truck last time too, right price, right options and right time haha.
Looks like the stars are aligning but, ill be cautiously optimistic until everything is done. Will report back tomorrow evening.

I was wondering how things turned out for ya ...

I might have missed what you "saddled up in" since your unfortunate circumstance with your previous HEMI RAM ...

Hey! Thanks for checking in! Tried to make some deals in the last week or so but everything has fallen through so far. Some of my local dealers are asking crazy money for trucks right now. Trucks are just dang expensive!

But,

What a nightmare this has been. Money finally hit my account yesterday, well over one month since the accident. Weeks of zero communication with allstate even after calling dozens of times and leaving messages through the online portal. They cancelled my rental car two weeks before we settled on a price so I have been out of pocket for that. Tons of fighting back and forth on price for my mods. Worst one was my tires. 9k miles on a set of Nitto Recon Grapplers that have a 65k mile cert. They offered me $400 for them. I paid almost $2000. Doesn't math LOL And annoyingly they didn't even have my right options selected when they presented comps to me.

Icing on the cake....

Some parts were stolen from my truck while it was in storage at the body shop. Body shop reimbursed me new price for them. (Floor mats and stubby antenna) so not a big deal but just added to my frustration.

I could continue but I'll leave it at that. I am fed up and tired of fighting with these people.

Got my eyes set on a flame red 2021 Rebel with 34k miles right now. Crossing my fingers I can make a deal with them this weekend.

You have to shop smart, without emotion and time frames. Don't let these crooks at the dealers play you with their games and BS. I was walking in dealers to buy a brand new truck and they wanting to charge me more than sticker if I paid cash!!! These guys are clowns, the process is exhausting! Look at a private sale and someone who needs to get out from under a loan that THEY paid too much on. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe the Allstate commercials with the jack-aSS in them who reeks havoc, is indicative how the company is run ...how they treat customers (??). A guy was telling me the other day how he got the major run-around and lack of communication from them too. Just based on the commercials alone I wouldn't go with them.

Hope things go a lot smoother from this point on :waytogo:

I can't speak for everyone of course but from a non-customer working with them. I don't wish that hell on anyone LOL. No idea if my insurance is any better either to be fair.

I think we are in the home stretch here thankfully.

You find a truck yet @G-Ride990 ?
We drove the Rebel to my house today and put it in the garage to make sure it fit. Tight squeeze but it fit.

On the drive back to the dealer, service active stability system popped up on the dash, and abs light flashed. Red flags...

Noticed something while walking around back at the dealer too... Tail pipes were kind of shifted and there was damage to the bed liner. Asked to see the carfax and a collision was reported... That was never disclosed to me. Noped the heck outta there!

You can even see the pipes being weird in my crappy security camera, check it out. Ignore the messy garage, got truck parts all over the place.

Got the deal done today, will take delivery in a couple days. They are going to tint the windows and do a typical "reconditioning" So an oil change, tire rotation blah blah blah LOL. Im going to order some Redline from Nick tomorrow morning anyway lol.

2022 crew cab, Bighorn Lonestar, Hemi, 4x4, no etorque, 28k miles.

It doesn't check every box I wanted but, it drove great and still has some time on the factory warranty. And it's not black this time around haha.

It does fit in the garage too!

I'll post some more pics when I bring it home. It has been 2 months since my accident tomorrow. Feels good to have a truck again!
