I grew up on a farm and we used JB weld sometimes for temporary fixes in the field,pretty good stuff. Also used WD-40 and Gray Tape. If it moved and it wasn’t supposed to use the Gray Tape. If it wouldn’t move and you wanted it to move use the WD-40 ! And baleing wire of course . -

Headlight thoughts

Thank you for the offer but I need to get this thing together tomorrow ,Had it apart for over a week and needing to drive it. Going to the parts store tomorrow and will find something close enough to work. Looks almost like a hex head wood screw ! -

Well I hate to admit it but when I took the grill off while changing the headlight bulbs I have lost the 2 outside coarse thread bolts that thread into plastic and hold the grill on. I have the 2 fine thread bolts that screw into the Metal to help hold the grill on,just lost the outside bolts... -

Why cant I get the Headlight to come out of 2013 Ram 1500 ?
I ended up taking the grill off and the headlight came right out. I also used a long extension in an attempt to take them out without removing the grill and it did not work .i believe the problem was that the bolt that I used the long extension on would not come out of its hole as I did not... -

Is there an easy way to clean up headlights ?
The smears I am talking about are my fingerprints that are there because of my repeated handling the headlight's as I put new Headlight bulbs in and the while there are some scratches they are not deep and I need to put the lights back in so I can use the truck again. I think that I will try... -

Headlights had a lot of water in them ,Silicon Fix ?
I looked at the bulb seals and they 'looked'good and presented plenty of resistance to being turned in with no visible cracks,But who knows . From what I can see, the seal looks like 'probably' the issue on both headlight's. As of now my plan of action is to run a bead of clear silicon around... -

I am not understanding your comment at all. In this instance the Bulbs have to be modified to fit in the Headlight Housing. What is it that does not make sense to you ? -

I have looked and found Videos and Instructions on Changing the H11 bulbs to the H9 Bulbs and although some use a Dremel tool or a Razor knife to remove the Metal tabs and the Plastic Piece this Method would seem to do the Job as well? Is this the only changes that need to be done to the H9... -

For the change from H9005 to the H9011 is the only thing I need to do is to change the size of one of the plastic tabs on the H9011 bulb so it matches the H9005 plastic tabs in height and width ? If so would a small fine file work well for that purpose ? -

Which Walmart air filter for 2013 Hemi ?
I dont know if Dad did them and I dont have any type of Maintenance schedule other than oil changes. The Fram air filter is dirty and needs to be changed though.- bcraig
