Its pretty crappy IMO. I wonder if there is a book out their about the Canuck Hi-Po dealers?
Yea there were some good dealers up here back in the day. When my Uncle bought his 71 Hemi Charger,it was from a local Alberta dealer, and they had 12 more Hemi Chargers on the lot to choose from. Western Canada was booming in the late 60's/early 70's,as farming and the oil patch were going strong,so Ma Mopar was putting some rare cars on dealer lots up here in those days,as they knew they'd sell

Yup,,lol. When Ma Mopar wanted to move alot of cars, dealers like Crosstown got the call, which gave them pull with Detriot. When i was a kid,i grew up in a small farming community of 4500 people, and back in the late 70's,they had 6 Lil Red Expresses sitting on the lot, when i was looking to swap my old 77 Ford shortbox. I would of bought one,if it'd been anywhere near as quick as my little Ford was,but they weren't even close to being as quick as the Ford was

Thats cool. My dad had a 77 step side about that same time. Thats the one he sold and then he found it in the early 90s and bought it back around 95 I believe. That was our first build. We stuffed that 428 cj motor in it lol.

My dad had a 77 step side that had the 78-79 grill when he was a teenager and then we found it in the 90s and he bought it back. It was our first build together.
One of the easier ways to tell the 74-76 trucks apart from the 77-79 trucks,is the F100/150 decal moved from the fender up to the cowl in 77 , and the trucks got shoulder harness seat belts in 77. The 79's could also be had with the chrome headlight surrounds, which as far as i remember weren't available on the 78's,not that means much now 45 years later,as swapping the headlight surrounds and grill was a pretty common thing back when i was a kid. I swapped the 79 grill into my 77,after my drunken buddy rolled my truck in the spring of 80,and i put a 76 cab and doors etc.on it,and basically rebuilt it from the ground up.

Those were some good looking trucks. Did yours have the stained glass rear window? My dads was ducks.

The stained glass rear window, was an aftermarket addition, that ford added to a few trucks that had the flat back window ,from what i gathered up.Mine had the factory rear slider window,so it was clear.
My truck was a bit of an oddball,as the hood ornament was factory and had 3 Cougars in it,and it also had the little side mirrors.
My buddies 75 Ranger XLT shortbox had factory carpeting up the back wall, which is the only regular cab truck i've ever seen that had factory carpet on the back wall

Interesting my dads had the small mirrors when it was new, but the 3rd owner after my dad put the other big brace mirrors on it. That 75 had to have been some sort of special order. I wonder if it was like a dealerships manager truck? I have heard that they could get special options on their personal vehicles.
