Good day everyone!

As I upgrade my Ram, I often look at what else I can (and eventually will need to) upgrade.

As of recent, Ive been having my SERVICE 4WD light come on at times while driving.
Im currently making just under 500hp to the wheels on my 2015 Ram 1500 4wd. It has the 4wd auto transfer case option. Ive noticed that on some WOT at about 60mph, the light will come on but go off after a couple minutes or until I slow down. It will also come on at other random times but always go off and I have never been able to get a code from it as its gone by the time I scan.

What type of power can these things hold? Are there alternatives that I can swap out to? Possible the SRT durango or similar?

Thank you in advance.

In the video I saw the TRX also had an auto T-case.... anybody know what model it has yet?

And more to the point.... how they configured it both mechanically and electronically to withstand the power?

Ours is the Borg-44 or 45 right? How much power are these things able to withstand?

Trx is probly 48-11 we have the 44-44. They can take a decent beating. Just keep a eye on your fluids. Your clutches are only as good as your fluid.

Also, what fluid do you recommend? Should I just go down to the dealership and use OEM fluid? Id like to replace it tomorrow.

Yep. Check if the fluid is burned or low. Either of those can cause overtemp & temporary disable until it cools off

That's another argument. Depending on year. 2016 they changed the clutches. I have a 2015 and I just use synthetic transmission fluid. On the 16+ trucks I Beleive you need factory fluid with the friction modifier.

Amsoil has fluid for BW 44-44.

Easy, peasy....

Have you ever had the codes retrieved to see what’s being set?

Ive done a lot of 4auto launches in my truck and I’ve never had that happen.

Check your tire wear.If your tires don't have basically the same wear front to rear, you might get an overheat code.

I’m running 35” ridge grapplers. Looks about the same to me.

Unfortunately no. Every time I go to slow down, it goes away. I’ve had codes checked for but there aren’t any.
