My family ended up here in Louisiana after my father's retirement from the USAF, 1972 because it's where my mothers family was from.

My family has lived and been to many foreign countries during his military career. Guam, Turkey, Japan and many places(states)in the US.

My father's last assignment was in VA.

My siblings and myself were asked by my father, "would you kids like to stay in VA. or go back "home" to my mothers wonderful hometown. My siblings and myself wanted to stay in Virginia, but was out voted by my mother.

So, here I reside in Louisiana ... no, I'm not a Cajun, lol.

I picked up an FRAM Titanium FS2 at Advanced Auto Parts and cut it open.

The filter media looks like cellulose/paper and it's easy to tear. It has a wire backing attached to the filter media and overall looks are comparison to the MOPAR MO899.

It is rated at 20,000 mile oci's...

I'm gonna go endurance for the wife's rav 4, since it is cartridge filter I have no worries except the media. I am wondering at this point if the Pentastar cartridge filter is better then even the large options for the hemi?

The FRAM FE2 SYNTHETIC Endurance filter media is synthetic micro glass, idk about the cartridge type FRAM SYNTHETIC Endurance filters.

I'll have to read up on those, but I would guess that they are also a synthetic micro glass media?

I do not know anything about MyAutoParts123.com the web seller, but they are advertising the Royal Purple 20-820 for $13.99 and free shipping if if the amount is over $25(4 oil filters).

Probably could get the same deal at Summit Racing using their price match guarantee.

I have bought from them twice now 4 filters each time got free shipping each time. I think at the time they on sale for 11.99. They Shipped from Wisconsin got to indiana in about 3 days if I remember correctly. Filters looked good stamped made in Mexico. Tried to order another 4 but they were out. They sell quick when the masses find them. Then I have to go to an advance auto parts a town over to get them. usually have at least 1 in stock but$18.

Yes, Fram got sold (again) to "First Brands" which is nothing but a vulture capital holding company interested in milking profits from OG companies.

They "helped" Fram get more profit by cheapening original Ultra XG filter, and launching Endurance FE which is basically the original Ultra XG, from what I've read.

I did an oil change on my "2017 off the frame restoration" HEMI RAM yesterday.

I decided to use the Purolator Boss PBL 24651 instead of the Royal Purple 20-820. I've used the Purolator Boss oil filter in the past and there wasn't any issue, plus it's on the shelf at the auto parts store and $14.99 ...

I have a couple Royal Purple oil filters on hand, but wanted to try the Purolator Boss again.

Ok, it's a month out on the Purolator Boss PBL 24651oil filter/Red Line 5w/30 oil combo.

All is still good.

Oil psi is still the same on cold start up, 70 mph high way, and hot idle as when I used the Royal Purple 20-820 oil filter/Red Line 5w/30 oil combo.

My HEMI is still quite ...

Well I knew something was wrong didn't know how bad, drove over some chicken wire my undercarriage is all buggared up. Likely will put off oil and filters til tomorrow, this is more pressing. Debate is 4-5 hours away, I'm not going to be the guy changing his oil when I get to see who deserves to run this democracy. There is few things I will put of an oil change for, this be one of them.

I wish it was just that, I try and get a picture when the tires off. It's my bad but wife tossed it in front of my truck from the fruit trees as we got all the fruit off the other day. Couldn't see it, blended into gravel and was pretty flat. Everything that rotates tires spun it everywhere. I already got the driveshaft stuff off, this stuff is straight buggared.

nah 85F now, I ain't doing it today. I am better off tomorrow am and see if I can get both done.

I think it is like 130/135? I put 120 for now, I know it is higher then that.

My 1500 SB is torqued at 130 ftlbs

HD 14mm thds 130 ft-lbs lug-centric (cone), 140 ft-lbs hub-centric (flanged)

Thought it might be more on the HD models, I guess the extra two lugs does that job.

Lug torque is set by lug thread size, thanks for response I was too lazy to look it up in that moment. All you need to know is your lug nut thread size.

Uh, why is the chart lower than the O&M Manual?
Torque also includes strength grade of the metal used.

I don't know the minutia bri, and I don't know why the range and not a set value. What is your lug nut thread size and what does book say torque spec? Not in that charts range?
