The incredible hulk is alive and puts oil filters on for Stellantis.
Must be the same guy that put the fill cap on my 8HP70.....lol. I had to use a cheater with my allen wrench to break that sucker loose when I serviced the transmission.

On a side note: I did not change oil in my Ram yesterday, I was shot from the long drive. Tonight, we have to go look at a couch and most likely bring it home, so won't get to the oil change and a closer look at the FE2 until then. My apologies for that. I will be about 200 miles over.

I do not know anything about MyAutoParts123.com the web seller, but they are advertising the Royal Purple 20-820 for $13.99 and free shipping if if the amount is over $25(4 oil filters).

Probably could get the same deal at Summit Racing using their price match guarantee.

I know my truck in a 3.6 instead of a Hemi, but, since the last oil change, using the same PUP and Lubegard, but using the Fram Endurance filter instead of the Fram Ultra Synthetic, I can absolutely tell a big difference in lifter startup clatter with the Endurance.

There's a lot less to no clatter. The Endurance full synthetic must flow at a much higher rate.

I was almost always pre-spinning the engine before startup to keep clutter down. Now, if I don't, I usually can't hear any clatter, and I always listen.

Address sounds scammy - I'd check it out first.

I also ordered 2 or 3 of the RP 20-820 filters from them earlier this year. received them within 4 days with free shipping.

I agree about the name but their service was legit for me. Only Amazon can beat their speed and even Amazon fails to beat their price.

I'm currently using the Purolator Boss PBL 24651(large oil filter) and Red Line 5w/30 combo.

My HEMI idles and runs smooth and quiet just the same when I had used the Royal Purple 20-820.

Can't complain about the price of the Purolator Boss and that it's readily available off auto parts shelf, and that is a good thing.
Edit: Does the PBL 24651 work with 2023 5.7?

How is this combo working for you? I've been using the smaller RP filter and the same Redline 5/30. I was planning to go with the larger RP but will go with PBL instead.

The Purolator Boss PBL 24651 should fit fine on the fifth generation RAM HEMI, it might be a little tight wrangling it in, due to the engine oil heater(the thing that the oil filter screws onto).

I have the oil heater on my 2017 and it's a tight fit and does just fine. The Red Line 5w/30 and Purolator Boss PBL 24651 combo is doing the same as when I was using the Royal Purple 20-820 and Red Line 5w/30.

All is good.

Well, I finally got to change my oil, almost 1 week late and about 400 miles over.

Couldn't really see well down in the filter, but here it is:20240622_142649.jpg
I did not have her fully warm for the change, but when I started her up, she was 129° on the evic. 52 psi.

I will see how she behaves from cold.

Thanks for the reply. Are folks looking to improve their oil pressure in a hemi?

Just because I'm bored, and I'm growing a larger variety of filters than my local shop

Here is a pic of the holes vs slots, PBL-24651 v RedLine 20-820

Red Line 20-820?

I'll have to see if I can find one of those, lol.

Find one? Yeah, LOL, good luck. I have my oil and filters allin the same box, so I got just a bit mixed up between oil and filters.

Who loves ya? :Big Laugh:

Yep, they compare very similar in every way, except price.
Really, price?

Amazon has the PBL24651 for $16.25, the site above has the RP for $13.99. Seems pretty close to me, as both can be had with free shipping if you buy just 2 RP filters.

Actually, I can get the Boss at Advanced Auto for 13.99 and save the shipping cost by riding my bicycle a few blocks to the store.
